I love stories! I sit in the rocking chair, smoke my pipe with a delighted smile and I listen to the stories that inspire to take up new challenges. At XSolve, sharing the knowledge is the party of our DNA, is the way we work. Therefore, every Friday, we organize open meetups called…
Fridays with XSolve – weekly meetings which are full of technology news, projects sum ups or quarterly financial reports. These are the topics we discuss at 3 pm in the room called „Aquarium”. It is usually very crowded inside because everyone wants to join. We connect with our folks in Warsaw’s office and those who work remotely just to be sure all of us are able to participate.
Topics can be proposedby anyone in the company (including interns!). The most important is to have a catchy idea which you can share like for instance: new software tool, a case study of improved engineering process or unusual technological practice.
What is also very common for Fridays with XSolve that every dev team talks about their experience and exchange the know-how after successfully finished the commercial project.
How to deliver faster
Last days I presented how to setup a fairly simple continuous deployment pipeline that is language-agnostic. Originating from Github, employing TravisCI as the pipeline controller and using AWS CodeDeploy as a lightweight deployment service, this solution is extremely versatile and easy to maintain. Enjoy the watch.
The video is in Polish but if you have any question related to TravisCI or Continuous Delivery just drop a comment below. I will try to help you out.
